The beach is an easy walk away, only 150 meters, and impressive, very special because of the river, which meets here with the ocean, and just breathtaking…one of the most beautiful beaches in Bahia. At high tide there is a tranquil stretch of river to ford. At low tide one simply walks through.
Or, if you prefer, take the small jangada (type of miniature ferryboat), which is waiting for you to take you safely to the beach and back, without even wet your feet!
Here you will find beautiful white sand and inviting waves – a haven for shell seekers, surfing, horse riding, canoeing, sunbathing, swimming or going for long, long
walks.
Typical beach bars (quite primitive but very charming ) are cleverly situated on the sand between the river and the sea – on the riverside they are sheltered and, if you wish, you can sit at the table with your feet in the water! On the seaside you have the vast and breathtaking view of the mighty Atlantic.
Shrimps, crabs, local fish and all the fruit juices known to man are just some of the delicacies you may be plied with.
Sun-chairs and umbrellas are provided without charging. Don’t forget to bring your own beach-towel and a very good sun-protection ! You certainly will need it!
